Marinara Sauce

Super easy and tastes 100% fresher than store bought sauces!


Ingredients

  • 3 lb. tomatoes, any variety and left whole

  • 1 whole onion, coarsely chopped

  • 1 garlic bulb, coarsely chopped

  • Olive oil

  • Green pepper, coarsely chopped

  • Italian seasoning, to taste

  • Salt, to taste

  • Pepper, to taste


Directions

Place whole tomatoes in a baking dish along with the onion and garlic. Sprinkle with olive oil. Roast for 45 minutes at 400 degrees. (See picture below.)


After it has cooled, sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper and place in blender with green pepper. Blend until smooth. Use immediately or store in refrigerator for up to three days.


Yield: 6 cups of sauce
